The Machine Learning Intern position at Pryon is intended to help us explore the application of theoretical concepts to real-world problems. Our team works to transform NLP research into day-to-day operations with a focus on efficiency and scale. Projects will be defined by the Machine Learning team collaboratively with the intern at the beginning of the internship. The intern will work closely with the Machine Learning team, writing code and running experiments to explore specific issues to support our work.
Interns should be current students in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program that is related to the work of the research group, including but not limited to computational linguistics, machine learning, natural language understanding, and computer science.
In This Role, You Will:
- Work with a team that is building a new generation of AI-driven search systems
- Contribute to the work of scaling our Information Retrieval systems to very large collections of documents
- Learn how we deploy large language models to production use cases
What You’ll Need to Be Successful
- Currently Enrolled in a Masters/Ph.D. degree program or equivalent in speech or language technologies, computer science, statistics, or related topics
- Experience with Machine Learning methodologies, deep learning, information retrieval, text generation, or related applications
- Coding ability in an industry standard programming language (Python, C, C++, C#, Java, etc.) & familiar with a deep learning framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow etc.)
- Strong foundation in Computer Science with competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Excellent critical thinking skills, combined with clear communication skills
