About the Role

We are on the lookout for a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) with a cross-functional expertise. This pivotal role at Mendel will spearhead multifaceted components of our product portfolio. The ideal candidate will be technically adept, bridging gaps between Engineering, AI, Customer Delivery Engineering, Data Labeling Operations, and more. Your mandate will encompass understanding intricate customer needs, crafting strategic product blueprints, assimilating essential user requirements, and driving cross-functional teams towards the seamless rollout of advanced features and systems. This role will report directly to the Director Of Technical Program Management.

You Will:

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of complex technical programs, aligning them with business goals through detailed technology architecture and system design analysis, transforming challenges into actionable plans.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and stakeholders, establishing clear ownership, accountability, and prioritizing tasks to ensure consistent progress and predictability in program execution.
  • Maintain transparent communication with all levels of stakeholders, providing regular updates on program outcomes, strategies, and risk management to foster a culture of clarity and informed decision-making.
  • Champion innovation and efficiency by streamlining processes, encouraging continuous improvement, and navigating risks with proactive mitigation strategies to safeguard project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership, becoming a trusted advisor for strategic program implementation and risk management.
  • Mentor and develop emerging talent in program management, sharing best practices and nurturing their growth within the organization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in program management to continuously refine and enhance program strategies and execution.

You Have:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
  • Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery.
  • Experience collaborating with high performing teams. Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas to their essence.
  • Ability to build positive relationships and partnerships with internal and external senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and able to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Flexible, adaptable and highly responsive to the needs of the project, team and wider group.
  • Demonstrable success in guiding projects across multifunctional teams, instituting lasting processes, and aligning release timelines.

Nice to Have:

  • Proven acumen in formulating and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) pivotal to highly available services and a track record working with Engineering and AI leadership roles.
  • Background in one or more of: Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Recommendation Systems, or Artificial Intelligence.

Compensation

$185,000 - $205,000
