About the Role

As a Senior Recruiter at Mendel, you will be the champion of the end-to-end candidate journey, driving key technical and other hiring efforts within our organization. You will lead the strategy and implementation of our talent acquisition, focusing on providing an exceptional full-cycle candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, you will play a crucial role in aligning our talent acquisition efforts with our overall People strategies. This position requires on-site presence in San Jose with the flexibility for hybrid work.

You Will:

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, screening, and hiring top talent.
  • Execute on recruiting needs within established timelines, milestones, and expected outcomes.
  • Maintain a robust candidate pipeline and readiness by leveraging various attraction initiatives.
  • Develop and implement recruiting strategies to identify and attract qualified candidates.
  • Regularly inform internal stakeholders about changes in recruitment industry trends and opportunities for strategic talent solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and business partners, ensuring timely and impactful communication.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers throughout the hiring process to influence candidate decisions to join Mendel.
  • Maintain rigorous data hygiene and leverage funnel metrics to guide recruiting efforts.

You Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 7+ years of technical full-cycle recruiting experience.
  • Proven expertise in sourcing and recruiting for both Technical (Engineering, Product) & Non Technical (Sales, Marketing) roles.
  • Proficiency in multiple tools, including ATS and third-party products (e.g., Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, GEM, etc.).
  • Established experience with various metrics and leveraging data to drive recruitment strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Experience working at early stage startups (Seed, Series A, B)


$175,000 - $200,000
