What the job involves: The Remote Tech for the Hayden Command Center will play a crucial role in supporting our field technicians and ensuring the operational efficiency of our deployed equipment. This remote position requires a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills, as you will be the first point of contact for troubleshooting and debugging issues that arise during equipment swaps or routine monitoring. Your ability to provide timely and effective support is essential to maintaining our high standards of service.

Responsibilities:

  • Remote Troubleshooting: Provide real-time remote support to field technicians during equipment swaps. Assist in diagnosing and resolving issues that persist after a swap.

  • Device Monitoring: Continuously monitor the status of our devices, ensuring they are functioning correctly. Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of all troubleshooting and debugging activities. Document solutions to recurring problems to build a knowledge base for future reference.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with field technicians, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently and to the highest standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum years of experience: 3-5 years in help desk support or related roles.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of troubleshooting and debugging techniques, with experience in supporting field operations.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues quickly and efficiently.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical team members.

  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to monitoring and maintaining device performance.

  • Experience: Previous experience in a technical support role, particularly in a remote capacity, is highly desirable.

Education:

Bachelors Degree: Electrical Engineering (EE), Mechanical Engineering (ME) with a Computer Information Systems background
