What the job involves

In the age of generative AI, where authenticity and provenance of digital evidence are paramount to the success of Hayden AI's traffic enforcement products, a new challenge emerges. As generative technologies mature, ensuring the integrity of evidence becomes even more critical. This challenge sits at the crossroads of hardware and software, cybersecurity and data privacy, encryption and digital fingerprinting. It demands a thought leader with a breadth of knowledge to navigate this complex landscape.

We are seeking a hands-on thought leader to spearhead the development of Hayden's next-generation digital chain of custody platform. This is an opportunity to be at the foundation of a technology that will be the backbone of the company for years to come.


  • Translate bespoke customer requirements in security, privacy, and evidence chain management into a cohesive strategy for digital evidence handling.

  • Collaborate across organizations to build buy-in for the strategy through prototypes, demos, and proof-of-concept solutions.

  • Secure customer buy-in for Hayden's evidence handling roadmap, especially within highly regulated environments. Find solutions that meet customer needs and align with Hayden's vision.

  • Design and implement digital certificate management across cloud services and edge devices.

  • Develop user-friendly interfaces for complex security topics like fingerprinting and encryption.

  • Collaborate with external auditors to ensure the effectiveness of proposed solutions and their implementation.

  • Champion the adoption of emerging standards like C2PA, adapting them to Hayden's needs and influencing their future direction for compatibility.

  • Influence the design of next-generation hardware and software architecture to ensure it inherently supports evidence chain of custody needs.


  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 6+ years of software engineering or related experience.

  • Proven track record in building products where digital content authenticity is critical.

  • Demonstrable knowledge of application security.

  • Proficiency Golang or Python programming, and scripting/automation.

  • Expertise in cryptography, encryption, and digital fingerprinting.

  • Strong understanding of encryption protocols, public/private key management, and PKI (Private Key Infrastructure).

  • Familiarity with append-only, immutable datastores.

  • Knowledge of secure boot, measured boot, remote attestation, Trusted Platform Module (TPM), and similar technologies for system software authenticity validation.

  • Experience in cloud security management (AWS, Azure, GCP).

  • Experience with blockchain and/or C2PA (a plus).
